The important part: Data you enter into the generator—including URLs, contact details, Wi-Fi passwords, text, and optional logos—gets processed in your browser to make a QR code. Our QR generator does not submit or store these contents on an application server.
Information we process
The QR content you type is used locally by browser JavaScript. Image uploads for the optional center logo are read locally by your browser. QR Cove does not provide personal accounts or store generated codes in a database.
Hosting and basic technical data
Our hosting provider may collect technical request logs, including IP addresses, user-agent information, timing, and requested pages, for delivery, reliability, or security. These technical logs are separate from the content inside your QR code.
Advertising and analytics
If you optionally enable recent public-link history, a small list of your website URLs is kept in this device’s localStorage until you clear it. Sensitive Wi-Fi, contact and payment inputs are never added to that list. The browser may also cache public website files for offline use. The initial release has no advertising or analytics scripts. If advertising or analytics are introduced, we will update this policy to describe the providers, cookies, consent options, and other relevant data practices before activating them. Advertising networks may process information under their own privacy terms.
Sharing your QR code
Anyone who receives or scans a QR code can read the information encoded in it. Be careful with Wi-Fi passwords, personal phone numbers, and contact information. A static QR does not hide or encrypt these details.
